Grandia Creator Takeshi Miyaji Passes Away

The Japanese game developer G-Mode announced on Monday that its representative director Takeshi Miyaji passed away on Friday, July 29. Miyaji created the Grandia, Gungriffon, and Silpheed game franchises.

Okay in our last announcement before changing hosts I mentioned we were losing the domain. However I decided to transfer it from our old hosts' registrar (which they had to make things complicated)... so anyways our domain is here to stay! It has been renewed till 2011 for now.Also we have changed hosts for the site which should make the site more stable. I do hope you continue to enjoy the site and I do apologize for my lack of work done to this site. I've neglected this place a lot, and well I'm not making any promises but I do have a lot planned for Grandia Online. I want to finish up the gaming sections and re-write the existing pages to go further into detail. I'd also like to add boss guides, walkthroughs , fan art, and fan fiction. This message has nothing to do with gaming or anime. This is a personal message about my sister.On April 8,2009 we found out she has DSRCT (desmoplastic small round cell tumor). It's a type of sarcoma cancer, for more info click here. Taylor is only 17 years old as of January 31st, 2009. GungHo Online Entertainment today announced that the PlayStation version of Grandia will soon be available for download via the PlayStation Store's Game Archives. Developed by GungHo subsidiary GameArts, Grandia was originally released for the Sega Saturn in December 1997. 1.5 years later the game was ported over to PlayStation. Downloading Grandia will cost 600 Yen ($6.08 USD).In further Grandia-related news, GungHo promises to release more information on its long delayed MMORPG Grandia Online during a press conference scheduled for May 20th. Moreover, series composer Noriyuki Iwadare as well as voice actresses Kikuko Inoue and Mariya Ise are set to attend the event. Free Web-Layouts and MP3's soon!

Just going to let you know, I'll be adding some Grandia web-layouts, including the version 3 of this site to our new free layouts page I decided to add. I'm also going to upload a couple MP3's of songs from Grandia for download including "In the Sky" by Miz, the Grandia 3 theme song.I've been working on my other projects instead of Grandia Online, but once I finish up some things, I'll try to spruce things up here with some fresh new content, and hopefully write something for Grandia I and Grandia Xtreme, lol.. Still no new news of anything related to Grandia such as Grandia 4 or Grandia Online (Zero). We Are Still Alive And Kicking

It's been so long since the last update, no news of anything related to Grandia has surfaced, so I thought I should make an announcement letting you know the site is still active. Once I finish up on some of the projects for the other sites I work on, then I will begin to actively update this site such as adding new content, fixing up old content, adding AMV's, and other media, etc..For now here is a music video that has some Grandia scenes in it. It was the first AMV I made, and I made it back in 2006. Hope you enjoy it. Hey everyone,check out the new amazing design. I hope you enjoy it. Not only is it a new design but I changed all the links to better the site with SEO (Search Engine Optimization), so instead of grandia2_characters.php the pages are like grandia-2/characters.php I also fixed up a lot of the old coding, etc.. and I also added some cool interactive features or games. You can now play Tic-Tac-Toe with Alonso and Miranda from Grandia III, as well as Ask Ryudo (from Grandia 2) a Question about anything you want. There is also a game for Snake and Hangman; however they don't interact with any Grandia characters. I also added a little javascript that allows you to play Guess My Number. When you play it, you guess a number (obviously) and then it tells you if the number is higher or lower or if you are correct. So go try out these new things. Still our Poll Script is broke, so the Poll Booth and Character Battles are still down, but I will get them up shortly. Also I threw away Cutenews and now our News is pulled from our forum, so be sure to join it so that you can interact with our other visitors and members, and also be able to comment on the news posts. Since I did change of the links to the pages there might be some broken pages, but for the most part I think I have it all fixed and running smoothly. But if you do encounter a broken link/page please report it to me via the contact page. Also, as always I am looking for a couple more affiliates so if you own a site don't hesitate to try to affiliate. Well I think thats about all, so hope you enjoy it. GungHo Sells Off Grandia Online

GungHo Online Entertainment has sold off its PC-based MMORPG Grandia Online (also known as Grandia Zero) to Online Game Revolution (OGR) Fund Number 1 for 2.6 billion yen ($22.96 million USD). Subject of this agreement are only the copyright and the domestic and international distribution rights to Grandia Online. The rights to the Grandia (series) remain with GungHo subsidiary GameArts. No decision has been made as to whether GungHo Works will continue the game's development and operation.GungHo and GameArts originally announced Grandia Online three years ago. Since then the development of the game has been transferred from GameArts to GungHo. Earlier this year, the game received a new title, Grandia Zero, and release date, sometime this year. However, instead of announcing a delay, GungHo yesterday revealed the game's sale to OGR Fund Number 1. The company cited the strengthening of both its consumer game business and financial structure as reasons for Grandia Online's sale. Following its sale, the game will now be called Grandia Online again. Its release date is listed as "to be announced." Online Game Revolution Fund Number 1 was established by Movida Investment in December 2005. It provides capital and various services to companies interested in developing online games. Back in September GameArts, along with GungHo made an announcement at the TGS that Grandia Online, the MMORPG they are developing has been renamed to Grandia Zero.
